With the theme of “green, low-carbon, intelligent and safe – empowering new rural areas and enjoying new travel”, this activity aims to accelerate the popularization of new energy vehicles in counties and rural markets, help achieve the national “dual carbon” goal, and promote the comprehensive development of the new energy vehicle industry chain.
With the rapid development of China’s new energy vehicle industry, the urban market is gradually saturated, while rural areas are becoming a new growth point of the new energy vehicle industry with their vast market space and huge consumption potential. The launch of the new energy vehicle activity to the countryside coincides at the right time, which not only conforms to the policy guidance of the Comprehensive Rural Revitalization Plan (2024-2027), but also closely cooperates with the pilot work of county-level charging facilities to make up for shortcomings, intelligent networked vehicles “vehicle-road and cloud integration” and other pilot work, forming a strong policy. In a recently released research report, CITIC Securities pointed out that the activities of new energy vehicles going to the countryside will strongly promote the popularization of fast charging technology of electric vehicles and promote the technological upgrading of core components such as motors, batteries and electronic control. The research report suggests that investors should focus on parts and components enterprises related to fast charging technology, covering motors, electronic control, charging piles and other industrial chain links. With the strong support of the policy, the acceptance of new energy vehicles in the rural market is gradually increasing. Pure electric small passenger cars, electric logistics vehicles, plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV), fuel cell buses and other models will become the main growth engine of the rural market. With the continuous improvement of charging facilities and the continuous improvement of consumer awareness, the rural market is expected to become an important incremental market for the new energy vehicle industry.
However, institutions are generally cautious about the current competitive trend in the new energy vehicle industry. According to the Shengang Securities Research Report, with the increasing competition in the market, some enterprises are facing serious problems such as low capacity utilization and declining gross sales margin. At the same time, the shortage of key raw materials and rising costs also put potential pressure on the profitability of the whole industry.
In order to ensure that the activities of new energy vehicles go to the countryside achieve practical results, relevant departments will organize new energy vehicle after-sales maintenance service enterprises, charging service enterprises, insurance, credit and other financial service enterprises to go to the countryside to comprehensively optimize the application environment of new energy vehicles in rural areas. In addition, during the activity, we will actively promote the application of car network interaction technology in rural areas to further improve the level of rural green development. By implementing policies such as car purchase tax, car and ship tax reduction, and car trade-in, automobile enterprises are encouraged to enrich product supply, improve service level, and effectively expand the consumption market of new energy vehicles in rural areas.
